Vane Lior
Caring for Your Shoes
Every pair of Vane Lior shoes is crafted to offer lasting elegance and comfort. With proper care, your shoes will develop character and accompany you for years to come.
After Every Wear
- Wipe away dust and dirt with a soft, dry cloth.
- Use a shoehorn when putting on your shoes to help maintain the shape of the heel.
- Allow your shoes to rest for at least 24 hours between wears to let moisture naturally evaporate.
Preserve Their Shape
Insert cedar shoe trees after each wear to absorb moisture, reduce creasing, and help maintain the shoe’s original shape.
Cleaning & Conditioning
- Clean the leather gently using a soft brush or damp cloth.
- Apply a high-quality leather conditioner periodically to keep the leather supple.
- Polish with a matching cream or wax polish to restore color and shine.
- Buff with a horsehair brush for a refined finish.
Protect from Moisture
Leather is a natural material and should not be exposed to excessive water. If your shoes become wet, allow them to dry naturally at room temperature. Never use direct heat such as hair dryers, radiators, or sunlight.
Proper Storage
Store your shoes in the Vane Lior dust bag or shoe box in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Rotation
Avoid wearing the same pair every day. Rotating between pairs helps extend the life of the leather and sole while maintaining comfort.
Professional Care
Over time, soles and heels naturally wear with use. We recommend professional maintenance and timely repairs to preserve the craftsmanship and extend the life of your footwear.
A Lifetime of Elegance
With thoughtful care, your Vane Lior shoes will develop a unique patina and become even more distinguished over time—reflecting the journey of every step you take.
